E-WASTE RECYCLING PROCESS
While most electronic products contain high enough levels of hazardous materials, such as, lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury, and beryllium, it is more lethal when dumped into our landfills, rendering them toxic to our environment.
By recycling your electronics with Mobius Computers, you are preventing these resources from going into our landfills. We ensure all materials reach their proper resource destination in accordance to state regulations.

California law designates televisions, monitors, and any screen over 4” in size as hazardous waste and cannot be disposed of within municipal trash.
Mobius Computers works with local California downstream partners (majority within a 35 mile radius) to process all e-waste for recovered resources, which is then used as renewed sources for future products.

CALIFORNIA’S E-WASTE PROGRAM
The State of California established the CalRecycle program as a one-stop shop for information on how to manage unwanted electronics through State authorized collectors and recyclers. California has also implemented landmark legislation (SB20 and AB50) to ensure e-waste is properly disposed. Key elements of the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003, include:
- Reduction in hazardous substances used in certain electronic products sold in California.
- Collection of an electronic waste recycling fee at the point of sale of certain products.
- Distribution of recovery and recycling payments to qualified
entities covering the cost of electronic waste collection and recycling.
- Implementation of strict auditing of all “covered electronic waste”.
California’s CalRecycle program may call to verify the quantity of
“covered electronic waste” from your facility. Please be prepared to
answer questions if prompted. (Note: If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact us immediately at Mobius Computers 1-888-876-0790 or email at recycle@mobiuscomputers.com.)
